The Crawford Heritage Community Foundation announces the availability of applications for its nursing and medical scholarships. The application deadline is April 1. Eligibility criteria and on-line applications forms are available at https://www.crawfordheritage.org/scholarship/.
The M. Lucille Runkel Nursing Scholarship is available to a resident of Crawford County or Mercer County who wishes to become a Registered Nurse and is enrolled in an accredited program leading to a degree in nursing. Awards average $350 per year.
Two scholarships, the Thomas M. Watson Memorial Scholarship and Meadville Medical Center Medical Staff Scholarship, are available to graduate students pursuing a degree of doctor at an accredited school of medicine, osteopathy, dentistry or podiatry. Applicants must demonstrate permanent residency in Crawford County, exclusive of student residency for a period of five years immediately preceding the date of application. Awards average $1,000 per year.
