The MMC Medical Staff Memorial Scholarship was established in 1999 to honor the deceased members of the Meadville Medical Center Medical Staff. The Thomas M. Watson Memorial Scholarship was established in 1999 to honor the dedicated service of Dr. Thomas M. Watson to the residents of Crawford County.The scholarships are presented annually to a resident of Crawford County, Pennsylvania, who is matriculating or enrolled in an accredited medical, dental, osteopathic or podiatric school in a program leading to a degree of doctor of medicine, dentistry, osteopathy or podiatry.
