Medical and Nursing Scholarships Available
The Crawford Heritage Community Foundation announces the availability of applications for its nursing and medical scholarships. The application deadline is April 1. Eligibility criteria and on-line applications forms are available at https://www.crawfordheritage.org/scholarship/.
The M. Lucille Runkel Nursing Scholarship is available to a resident of Crawford County or Mercer County who wishes to become a Registered Nurse and is enrolled in an accredited program leading to a degree in nursing. Awards average $350 per year.
The Thomas M. Watson Memorial Scholarship and Meadville Medical Center Medical Staff Scholarship are available to graduate students matriculating or enrolled in an accredited school of medicine, osteopathy, dentistry or podiatry in a program leading to a degree of doctor of medicine, dentistry, osteopathy or podiatry. Applicants must demonstrate permanent residency in Crawford County, exclusive of student residency, for a period of five years immediately preceding the date of application. Awards average $1,000 per year.
The Crawford Heritage Community Foundation is dedicated to making Crawford County a better place to live, learn, work and raise a family. The Foundation helps people make the most of their philanthropy by giving to endowed funds.
